Rob got back safe and well after several hours walking through the bird sanctuary (feathered variety) >he said he only rang to check if he could get a signal on his mobile.

Today he was off again this time for more than 4 hours but 2 of those I spent at our local cinema watching the final Harry Potter movie in 3D.

If at first.....ect

Tried to post to the blog recently,wrote loads and loads (but didn`t save it) and nothing appeared on the blog so I went wrong somewhere, LOL.

Wont write too much this time. Rob is out walking ,he just rang to say he`s in the middle of nowhere ,not sure which way is out....I promised to send a search party if he`s not home by tea time ..........its no laughing matter really as there are miles of national park on the Island.

I`ll update when he gets home.

becoming locals

We have now been on Bribie for 9 months ,its home . Robi and Tracy are just half an hour away in Caboolture and its a very pleasant drive , one road with Bribie at one end and Caboolture at the other .

Christmas came and went without too much hassle ,the heat and humidity were a bit much at times with the Real locals saying " its usually hotter than this" and us thinking OMG.We are now in winter and its great ,a bit nippy early morning and evenings but T shirt weather during the day.

May brought us visitors to stay for a week. Keith and Ailsa en route to the UK ,it was lovely to see them again and Im sure they enjoyed it too.

Here we are in July,time is flying by,Ive always said once you hit 50 it feels like there is only 6 months in a year , at our ages 65 and 75 we are down to 3 but what the hell we are in the right place to enjoy them.
